My dish network remote won't work.?
My remote has power, I even changed the batteries to make sure. Whenever I press a button the SAT button lights up just like it should, and everything on the remote acts like it normally would, but my receiver isn't getting the signal. There's nothing blocked it, and I even reprogrammed it to make sure it was set to the right remote receiver, but it still isn't doing ANYTHING to the receiver or tv.What do I do?Thanks I also tried out the remote on our other tv to see if it would work on my receiver, and it isn't working either. But the remote from the other receiver will work with both.
Is it possible to use an array for improving weak sat signal from dish network ?
I am shooting through trees and I get a so so signal but if I could have 2 dishes pointing at the same satellites in an array I know that signal strength would be doubled. Is it possible and how do you overcome voltage loss so the the receiver can can control bot sets of LNBs at the same time as if it was just one set?If not possible does anyone know where I can get a bigger dish to replace the dish 1000.2 that will take the triple LNB or at least a double that will get thye 119 and the 110.Lare, this is not an 18" dish. It is a dish 1000.2 triple LNB. I have an 18" pointed at the 61.5 connected to my 1000 but the 61.5 comes in fantatic. My problem is the 110 and the 119 as I have to shoot through trees. Neighbors are not the problem as this is an RV park and the owner is not going to cut down trees just so I can get a sat signal.
Should I buy an 1080p hdtv with basic dish network satellite service?

I am trying to find a birthday present for my brother. We are set up on dish network and there is one receiver in the living room, but he can get the DVR in his room as well. His remote is freaking horrible. You have to flail it madly around the room pressing buttons until you find one spot in which it will control the TV. This is always different and sometimes it doesn't even work at all. So far we have been unable to remedy the situation no matter what we try. We can do something with the settings on the TV in the living room that will allow it to work better for about a week or so, but then it gets the problems again.I was thinking about getting him a harmony remote to control all of his other devices, but can it be programmed to replace his TV remote? If it can will it fix these problems? I have no idea how remotes work.

Dish network remote buttons hard to press?
does anyone else have this problem? i have a dish network remote 3.0 ir, the channel up button, i have to press it hard to get the channel to change. i've replaced the remote several times. over time this has happened with everyone of them. i know thats the most used button on my remote, but i wonder if anyone has figured out how to free it up to make it change easier.
